Chicago is very proud and honored to be the official host of the Korean American Olympic Games from June 26th thru the 28th. Where over 4000 athletes representing 25 cities will be joining us from all over the country to participate in this national celebration, this is our chance to leave a lasting legacy as we witness the gathering of the finest korean athletes across the country in our very own home town! We want to show them what Chicago is made of. By working together as a community, this will be benefit all of us by bringing us together for one common purpose. We want to invite everyone to be part of this movement and to spread the word to their friends and colleagues.
As of now, we need help with the following:
-airport greeters & bus riders
-registration & information booths
-assisting referees
-runners, scorekeepers, and timekeepers
-giving directions in the facility
-stage crew & performer liaisons for the concert
-concert promoters
-25 ladies needed for the opening ceremony
Basically, all volunteers will help all athletes & guests find the places they need to go. We especially want to warmly greet and be friendly toward all out of towners.
Also, there will be a parking lot where a tent will be set up for all food vendors. Hyundai will be setting up space on that lot offering free test drives for people that are interested.
High school & College volunteers: You will be receiving a free t-shirt and a letter of recommendation from the Korean American Sports Council for your support.
