Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's A Good Woman of Setzuan, Pansori Project ZA reimagines this epic drama in Pansori Brecht SACHEON-GA. This work endeavors to create a modernized pansori whose narrative style integrates western dramatic elements. Performed mainly by a Sorrikun this genre of Korean traditional music uses humor and satire to translate Brecht's world into contemporary times.
There will be opportunity to network after event in the lobby with the artist after the act as part of MCA’s open dialogue event.
