NAAAP Chicago Event Recap
30

The second of our five part Asian Senses Series was held at Jang Choong Dong restaurant in Niles, IL on July 9th, 2009. Approximately 21 members were in attendance at the event.

The event started with a brief session that provided an opportunity for the attendees to network with other fellow NAAAP members.

At dinner, the attendees enjoyed various unmarinated Korean BBQ classics such as sang galbi (unmarinated beef rib), samgeopsal (unsalted bacon), jumuluk (marinated beef or pork), mok samgeopsal (pork shoulder loin) and chadolbagi (beef brisket) as well as
various delicious banchan (side dishes.) The members learned a little bit about Korean food culture and a few tips on how to eat Korean food.

We would like to thank the staff of Jang Choong Dong for their help. Stay tuned for the next installment of our Asian Senses Series!
