We appreciate those 40 members who attended the event!
The turnout was great and we received so many wonderful and sincere feedback from both current prospective NAAAP members. Especially, we are thrilled that many of the attended found Kobose Sensei’s tea ceremony outstanding and memorable.
Joyce Kubose of the Chanoyu Center of Chicago and her team performed the Japanese tea ceremony ritual. This visually pleasing presentation offered a glimpse of artistry, tradition, nuances of Japanese manners and Zen. The event also offered an opportunity to share a fresh perspective on art with a diverse group of young Chicagoans. Last but not the least, the event attendees enjoyed strolling through the “Japanese Screens, Beyond Golden Clouds” exhibition.
We thank all attendees who showed their support by attending and celebrating the event with us!
