We revved up the basketball season with our first ever 3-on-3 basketball tournament. 14 teams from all over the Chicagoland area came out to compete and have fun at DePaul's Ray Meyer Fitness & Recreation Center on Sunday Nov. 8, 2009. All 14 team played it out for over 3 hours to be the top of their bracket. After it was played out, 4 teams emerged from the top of their brackets to move on to the play-offs and at the end, a champion emerged.
Here are the results of the 2009 NAAAP Chicago 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament:
Champions - Team 11 - Ilyas Patel, Malick Vallani, Shahir Ahmed, and Zane Ruzvi
2nd Place - Team 12 - Kevin Yu, David Kim, Tom Lee, and Phil Sugimoto
3rd Place - Team 3 - Andrew Wong, Michael Zhou, and Kuang Kwok
4th Place - Team 6 - Tommy Chang, Brandyn Heemskerk, and Nhan Nguyen
