On March 13, 2010 GE was one of the sponsors for a NAAAP hosted ‘REAWAKEN, RENEW & REINVENT’ Women in Leadership conference. The event, partially funded by the US Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, gave the 53 attendees an opportunity to hear from and interact with senior Asian leaders from eight top Chicagoland companies: GE, Grainger, RR Donnelly, Motorola, NBC, State Farm, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and CDW.
Topics covered included networking, interviewing and mentoring, with panels and workshops scheduled throughout the day. The event culminated with a networking bingo raffle that allowed attendees to put into practice what they had learned from the networking workshop.
