NAAAP-Chicago is operated by committed volunteers dedicated to achieving a common vision of inspiring leadership, cultivating professional development and fostering workplace diversity. We are looking for serious and real leaders who have passion and enthusiasm for positive and lasting change.

Working Committees

Asian American Group Leaders (AAGL)The Asian American Group Leaders Committee is focused on helping Asian Employee Resource Group leaders prove their return on investment to their company. Set as a cohort, events include necessary the May Asian / Pacific Islander American Heritage Month Celebration, Corporate Leadership Conference, and Quarterly Best Practice Meetings.
Community ServiceThe Community Service Committee is focused on helping the greater Asian American community, especially the under-served populations. Events include the annual St. James Food Pantry event, Back to School Backpack Drive, and our Toy Drive, one of our longest running drives for the chapter going on 15 years. The committee can also organize ad hoc service events throughout the year.
FinanceThe Finance Committee helps provide financial oversight for the chapter. Activities include budget maintenance, submission of federal filings, grant reports, annual reports and any other government required documents, as well as general bookkeeping. The Board Treasurer serves as the Chair of this committee.
MarketingThe Marketing Committee is focused on all general marketing and communications for the chapter, manages chapter social media, as well as helping create any necessary marketing collateral and assets. Creative Design experts are especially welcome!
MembershipThe Membership committee is focused on improving the member experience by consistently creating a welcoming environment to our members. The committee will create and/or maintain meaningful relationships with members, as well as draw in new members. The committee is also responsible for organizing and planning the annual membership reception.
NAAAP PrideNew for 2019! This new committee will focus on helping define, shape, and form this program for API LGBTQ+ professionals.
Professional DevelopmentThe Professional Development Committee is focused on helping individuals develop necessary skills for career advancement and leadership development through workshops and seminars.
Women in NAAAP (WiN)The focus of the Women in NAAAP (WiN) Committee is to build competent and confident women leaders within NAAAP and the greater Asian community and a goal to empower, support and engage Asian American women to succeed as professional and personal leaders.
